Our Story

In the summer of 2023, while serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Antonio, Texas, the idea for Peculiar People was born. I had left behind a marketing company I had started at 18 and had been building for 5 years, answering a call to serve the Lord. That decision changed the trajectory of my life—and planted the seeds for something greater.

One evening, I was listening to a General Conference talk from 1971 by President Joseph Fielding Smith titled "Our Responsibilities as Priesthood Holders." As he spoke about becoming “a peculiar people,” the Spirit impressed on me a clear and urgent idea—a brand that would reflect the covenant-keeping, Christ-centered lives of Latter-day Saints. Minutes later, another talk began to play: "Prepare Every Needful Thing" by President Howard W. Hunter. He spoke of products, marketing, and spiritual preparation. The message was unmistakable: the Lord was guiding something bigger.

To me, Peculiar People are those who quietly and faithfully keep covenants, who live in ways that might seem old-fashioned or even strange to the world—but who are anchored in eternal truths. These are people who wear their faith, not for attention, but as a living witness of what matters most.

Our Mission

We believe the gospel deserves to be worn. Peculiar People exists to help members of the Church share their testimony—not always with words, but with what they wear.

As a missionary, I saw firsthand how often people asked about what we were wearing. Those questions became doors—natural, open, powerful opportunities to share truth. It made me realize something deeper: most members want to share the gospel, but they often don’t know how to start or what to say. Clothing can change that. Nothing sparked more curiosity or deeper emotional connection than the temple. It’s where we come to know Christ. It’s where families are sealed, covenants are made, and eternity becomes real. Every member has “their temple”—a sacred building tied to personal, spiritual milestones. We wanted to make those memories wearable—and in doing so, give members a meaningful way to open hearts and conversations.

Our designs are minimalist, reverent, and created line-by-line with intention. They're not just graphics—they're testimonies. And our products are made with the same care: premium garments that feel as meaningful as they look.

Our Vision

We envision a worldwide movement where gospel conversations begin not with a knock on the door, but with a question: “What’s that on your shirt?”

Peculiar People is more than an apparel brand. It’s a community of believers, artists, and missionaries—people who aren’t afraid to live their faith out loud. We plan to launch future collections inspired by missions, family history, and the lived experiences of covenant-keepers around the world.

We’re building something sacred, something stylish, and something that speaks louder than words ever could. Whether you wear our pieces to remember your endowment, your sealing, or simply to show your love for the House of the Lord—we hope it helps you share your light.

Join the movement. Be bold. Be faithful. Be peculiar.
